May 12, 2008 - what HD films are you talking about? Superman, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Click... all shot in HD... can hardly tell the difference... and depends again on what type of filmstock and what you do with it... a fantastic looking film print with a shit story... is well... a shitty film

May 12, 2008 - first of all at this moment there is no video format that can come close to matching the resolution that 35mm film can achieve. Also 35mm film is able to almost match human eye in terms of seeing color range and depth perception. The films you mentioned went through many different stages of color correction (the process of which is very expensive). And yes I can tell the difference, also all the movies you mentioned are shit (sorry in advance i know your a RR fanboy).
